We understand that choosing to receive orthodontic care is a big decision, and we listen carefully to your needs and concerns. Initial Consultation
At your initial consultation you will meet our SFO team, receive a thorough clinical exam and find out if orthodontic treatment is required. During your initial consultation, we will:
- Review your dental and medical history
- Provide a detailed oral exam
- Discuss any concerns you or your dentist may have
- Discuss treatment options and customize a treatment plan that best suit your needs
- Discuss treatment cost estimate, insurance options and payment plans
We will give you all the information you need to make an informed decision regarding your treatment.

Appointments
At SFO, we value your time and understand the importance of minimizing time missed at school or work. Please review the following to plan your appointments accordingly. Please keep in mind that occasionally some appointments might run longer.
- Initial consultation (includes records): 30-60 minutes
- Initial Bonding: the doctor will place orthodontic appliance and review care instructions; 60 minutes
- Adjustment Appointments: every 4-8 weeks; 30 minutes
- Debond: the orthodontic appliance is removed, final records taken and retainers given; 60 minutes
Successful orthodontic treatment requires a series of scheduled appointments throughout treatment. Our practice will work with you to ensure that your appointments are as convenient as possible. When scheduling appointments, please let us know what days and times work best for you.
We understand that “life happens!” If you’re running late or miss an appointment or need to reschedule, please let us know at your earliest convenience and we will try our best to accommodate you.
